Since winning the BBC Young Musician Brass Category in 2010, Anna Douglass has gone on to win the Dennis Brain Horn Prize in 2012, and the Bob Paxman Young Horn Players Fund Award in 2013, for which she received a custom-made Paxman horn. Anna has enjoyed success in her solo playing, with recital experience including performances in the Wigmore Hall, Glamis Castle, and concertos including at St. Martin in the Fields, West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge, and the Battle Proms.

Anna studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Richard Watkins, Michael Thompson and Martin Owen, supported by a Sylvia Simpson Fellowship. She regularly performs and records with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and has also worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, and major film orchestras such as the London Metropolitan Orchestra, COOL Music, and Isobel Griffiths Ltd. Anna performs all over the UK with the Ianthe Ensemble.
